The Upper Shorek basin contains residence of close to a million people. It includes a lot of agricultural land, extensive tourist activity, and is used as a transit area for many infrastructures. But it is also a very significant ecological corridor in the center of the country. Many bodies work on the planning and management of the space, sometimes they talk to each other, but they don't always talk to the public.

The conference presented the complexity of regional planning, including the presentation of the planning strategies of various authorities and entities in the region, along with a proposal for joint basin management promoted by the regional partnership team.
