The Annual  "Green Inside and Outside" festival is an initiative of the Sustainable Jerusalem Lobby and was produced under the leadership of the Jerusalem Green Fund. The festival took place for the first time in 2021. In 2022 it received support from the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and was produced in cooperation with the Department of Social Sustainability of the Jerusalem Municipality. Accordingly, the event has grown from about 20 hosting sites/organizations in 2021, to about 50 in 2022 and 2023.

The name of the event is inspired by the "Houses from the Inside" annual event, but in the case of "Green Inside and Outside", a stage is given to organizations and projects in Jerusalem, which through their actions contribute to urban sustainability and to dealing with the climate crisis. This is a celebration for all sectors of civil society in Jerusalem, who know how to work together with a worthy common goal, to make Jerusalem cleaner, healthier and greener. The Sustainable Jerusalem Lobby organizations work together on issues that are important to every resident of the city.
